Case File 1120DMUK

1
Glover, circa 1990.

Ames Glover
Missing since February 5, 1990 from London, England.
Classification: Missing

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance
Glover was snatched from a locked blue Ford Sierra in South Road, Southall in west London, on February 5, 1990 while his father withdrew money and picked up an Indian takeaway, before returning 20 minutes later. Despite an international police investigation, no trace was ever found of the baby and no evidence emerged to corroborate Mr Glover's account. Mr Glover was arrested and questioned but released without charge and he has always denied any wrongdoing. Despite an exhaustive investigation, police could find no witnesses to corroborate the suggestion that Ames was taken from the car. There was no sign of damage to the vehicle, a blue Ford Sierra, that would have been consistent with a break-in. Detectives also found no evidence elsewhere to show what happened to Ames. They travelled to Ghana, Mr Glover's native country, but failed to find any trace of the missing child.

He was last seen wearing a blue and yellow coat, a light green romper suit with a blue and yellow hat and blue bootees.
