Case History
The victim's nude body was found on Saturday, April 28, 2001 in Kansas City, MO near 59th and Kensington. She was beheaded and left in a wooded area near the local zoo. Her head was found separately in a plastic bag a few days after the initial discovery of her body. The head still had cornrows in the hair.

Investigators believe that she was killed before she was beheaded and that the crime happened elsewhere. Police will not say how she was killed or whether she was sexually assaulted. They say it appears the body had been in the woods for a few days.

Birthmark on child's left shoulder.
