The victim was set on fire with petrol and was burnt beyond recognition. The autopsy revealed at least two stab wounds to the lower abdomen as well as the use of blunt force to the head. Toxicological examinations led to the conclusion that the man was given sleeping pills or other psychiatric drugs before he was killed.
